‘Bay Dreaming’ by Diane McDonald. Acrylic on canvas, 61 x 91 cm, stretched and ready to hang.
As Australians, many of us are drawn to the ocean. We are spoilt with the selection of gorgeous beaches and coves that we have right around this great big country of ours.
It seems that literally hundreds of towns have a ‘Back Beach’, and the northern New South Wales hamlet of Angourie is no different.
While the big waves in this National Surfing Reserve are just over the back, this little corner of Back Beach has always been a favourite for my family, and I would imagine many others. And what could be more Australian than a game of beach cricket on this little piece of paradise.
