Adam has been surfing and painting for 35 years, following both passions in an endless search of the perfect wave to surf and paint.
Adam’s love for adventure and surfing has taken him to many amazing beaches around the world which is where he draws most of his inspiration. Being fascinated by the way waves roll and reflect light fuels Adams passion to paint them.
His Surf Art paintings are done best after surfing, taking in the energy from the waves and transferring it to canvas.
Adam has recently learned the art of wood carving which has lead to surfboard carving and other 3D art. His wave paintings on corrugated iron have become a signature recognized in many places and can withstand the outdoors.
Adam always enjoys painting commissions for people, designing exactly what they want. He is often invited to paint several commission artwork for the one house, setting the tone for each room, whilst providing continual flow throughout the house.
Adam paints at the Torquay Gallery, located at 12 Gilbert street, open 10-3 weekends and school holidays.
