Project Description

From a very early age, I have always wanted to creatively interpret what I saw and felt around me. Surrounding myself with paper, pens, paints and anything else that could help me convey my thoughts and feelings.

After completing a Diploma in Graphic Design, I was lucky enough to join the team of artists at the West Australian Newspaper as a full-time senior illustrator. I thrived in this fast-paced environment, working with other inspiring artists, and quickly learnt to work within strict time constraints.

After eight years at the newspaper I let to start a family and it wasn’t long before my I rediscovered my passion for painting, with the beautiful West Australian coastline being my inspiration.

Capturing the ever-changing light and how it affects the sky and ocean is a constant challenge for me. My hope is that my paintings leave the viewer feeling a sense of peace and tranquillity, as well as evoking memories of their own experiences of living along the coast.
